Durch einen ‚Unfall‘ wurden Systemprogramme aus c:\ (ggf.: auch c:\windows\ …kann das im Moment nicht nachvollziehen) gelöscht.
Da die Wiederherstellungskonsole wohl auch Opfer davon wurde, wollt ichs von der CD aus reparieren.
Komme auch bis zu diesem Bildschirm:

Dann drücke ich 1 und ENTER und endete hier:
C:\WINDOWS>_
und Ende der Fahnenstange. Ich kann zwar ‚dir‘ und alles sowas machen aber weiß nicht welche Datei ich starten soll.
Eigentlich braucht die CD ja nur n Programm drauf haben was überprüft ob alle wichtigen Systemdateien zum Starten von WinXP auch auf der Festplatte sind und ggf. welche ersetzt, hinzufügt etc. ohne irgendein Programm abzufragen was auf C:\WINDOWS ist weil da wohl nimmer alles drauf ist.
Komm ich um eine neue Vollinstallation herum?
Würd gern meine Treiber und Codecinfos behalten und was sich an der Reg noch retten lässt.

[02:15:05] but it saved it anywhere as backup, so it doesnt overwrite the original file
[02:15:21] couldnt find the backup anywhere (wasnt in the dir where i installed the prog)
[02:15:32] so i set a path in settings where to save those backup files

[02:15:50] but since it was a shreware thing it didnt do a new file of the same html
[02:15:57] so i had to delete the backup
[02:16:05] since i didnt know where it saved it
[02:16:15] i did ‚File‘ -> ‚delete all backup files‘

[02:16:25] well then i saw where it saved the file
[02:16:29] in c:\windows
[02:16:38] but along with the backupfile it deleted EVERYTHING

[02:17:45] so i couldnt even recover from a previous date
