Tenses

Hallo,
Kann jemand bitte kurz einen Blick drüber werfen, ob die tenses in dem folgenden Brief korrekt sind?

Dear Terry
Thank you for the letter I got last week. I´m glad to hear that your business is doing well.
Have you see Tom recently? I haven´t seen him for ages. The last time I´ve seen him, he was thinking about changing his job.
Work has been very stressful over the past few months . The company profits go down and so the management sacked quite a few people. The situation doesn´t look good and I don´t know what will happen in the future. I made a number of business trips this month. Last week I flew to Madrid to a meeting and yesterday I flew to Rome. Next year the firm will open a new office in Milan and at the moment we negotiate an Italian firm.
Beth and I have decided to sell our house, so at the moment we are looking for a new house to buy.
House prices have increased a lot since last year and I think it will take a while before we find something. We have inspected five houses so far, but they all have been too expensive.
Both our children, Pam and Ian left home. Ian went to study in the USA. He lives in New York and when I was talking to him last night, he said he enjoys his life there.
He has already made some friends and he found a part-time-job as a waiter.
Pam moved to London and works in a computer firm. She is been living there since January, but she has already bought a flat on the outskirt of the city. Her boyfriend will join her in a few months.
Beth still teaches part-time at a high school. She is been working there over 30 years now. She hopes she will be able to retire in a couple of years´time.
Best wishes
Georg

Vielen herzlichen Dank

Hallo,

Hi hi,

Dear Terry
Thank you for the letter I got last week. I´m glad to hear
that your business is doing well.

Hoert sich ohne that schoener an „I’m glad to hear your business is doing well“.

Have you see Tom recently? I haven´t seen him for ages. The
last time I´ve seen him, he was thinking about changing his
job.

Last time I saw him…

Work has been very stressful over the past few months . The
company profits go down and so the management sacked quite a
few people. The situation doesn´t look good and I don´t know
what will happen in the future. I made a number of business
trips this month. Last week I flew to Madrid to a meeting and

„Last week I flew to a meeting in Madrid“ ist schoener, und falls Du nicht selber Pilot bist trotzdem falsch weil Du als Passagier „go by plane“ kannst

yesterday I flew to Rome. Next year the firm will open a new
office in Milan and at the moment we negotiate an Italian
firm.

„negotiate WIHT an Italian firm“ probably. Ich glaub auch das firm unangebracht ist, ich selbst kenne nur company. Kann mich aber auch taeuschen und es ist einfach nur zu pingelig.

Beth and I have decided to sell our house, so at the moment
we are looking for a new house to buy.
House prices have increased a lot since last year and I think
it will take a while before we find something. We have
inspected five houses so far, but they all have been too
expensive.

…and I think it will take a while before we will have found/find something. (erste Loesung grammatisch korrekt aber schraeg)

Both our children, Pam and Ian left home. Ian went to study in

Da fehlt ein Komma: Both our children, Pam and Ian, left home.

the USA. He lives in New York and when I was talking to him
last night, he said he enjoys his life there.
He has already made some friends and he found a part-time-job
as a waiter.

…he has found a part-time job as a waiter. Nicht 100% korrekt aber fluessiger waere allerdings past tense in beiden Faellen.

Pam moved to London and works in a computer firm. She is been
living there since January, but she has already bought a flat
on the outskirt of the city. Her boyfriend will join her in a
few months.

She has been living…on the outskirt S of the city…

Beth still teaches part-time at a high school. She has been

…teaches part-time in a high school. At ist prinzipiell richtig, wird aber verwendet wenn es sich um eine bestimmte Schule handelt: Beth still teaches at Lincoln College

working there for over 30 years now. She hopes she will be able to
retire in a couple of years´ time.

Kein Apostroph, der nebenbei so aussieht: '!

Best wishes
Georg

Same to you

Guten Tag (Anrede)

A cause of cultural clashes?“ lauten.
